1. What is the main problem?

What this checker can—and cannot—do

It prioritizes normal household maintenance such as checking settings, loading, filters, visible hoses, and the air gap. It cannot inspect electrical parts, pumps, valves, wiring, or concealed leaks.

Always disconnect power before removing a filter or reaching into the tub. Do not dismantle panels, bypass a door latch, or work on live wiring. Model-specific instructions in your owner’s manual take priority.

Start with the strongest visible clue

For the most common branches, continue with standing water after a cycle, odor after washing, or water leaking from the door. Each guide explains what to observe before assuming a failed part.
